DAY 5 / STAGE 4: VELEBIT IS COMPLETE

Stage 4 on Velebit brought a slower and more technical day, but the feedback from the riders was very positive.
The roadbook worked without issues, while the terrain provided plenty of technical riding. Smaller rocky sections occasionally hid much larger stones, making line choice more important and keeping riders focused throughout the stage.
One of the main challenges of the day was a technical uphill section. A number of riders stopped at the same point, which created a short queue on the route. Some competitors were unable to complete the climb and decided to retire from the stage and return.
For those who made it through, the stage was described simply as a lot of fun. A technical day, but one that many riders clearly enjoyed.
