Dinaric Rally 2026: The Prologue Begins

By 10:00, the bivouac had changed gears. Engines were warming up, riders were getting into line and the first timed kilometres of Dinaric Rally 2026 were getting close.

The TV crew was already waiting at the finish. Riders started at 12:00, with live coverage from 14:00 on VOYO.hr and Net.hr. Live tracking is also available throughout the Prologue.

The Prologue runs for around 70 km, around Knin and the foot of Svilaja. Compared with the stages ahead, there is less rock and fewer difficult terrain sections, but more emphasis on navigation. Riders have a new roadbook to work through, with plenty of orientation and two more technical sections connected mostly by gravel roads. The route begins on rougher terrain, including the climb towards Svilaja, before opening into faster, more flowing sections.

Today’s time does not count towards the final rally time. The Prologue determines the start order for Stage 1 and gives riders one last chance to check the whole package under rally conditions: bike, equipment, navigation and themselves. Better to find out today than tomorrow.

Preliminary results are expected around 17:00, official results by 18:00, and the Stage 1 start order follows at 21:00.
