The entry fee is the biggest single cost of a rally raid. At Dinaric Rally 2027 it starts at €1,600 for a bike with the Early Bird price, and it already covers tracking, roadbooks, rescue teams and vehicle recovery. On top come travel, your bike, navigation gear, food and fuel. Here is the full picture.

What the entry fee covers
- Tracking and safety devices, and the device holder
- Roadbooks for every stage
- Registration and technical verification
- Collective third-party liability insurance
- Professional safety and mountain rescue teams, medical team
- Vehicle recovery and assistance (3 recoveries)
- Finisher medal and the finish party
- Basic camp package for the rider: water, electricity, basic resources
Costs on top of the entry fee
- Device deposit: €100, refunded when you return the safety and tracking devices
- Personal accident insurance: mandatory; if you have none, we connect you with an insurance company (about €30)
- Racing licence: only if the event status requires one, see the licence guide
- Camp extras: the riders’ basic camp package (water, electricity, basic resources) is included in the entry fee; EV charging, camper water refills, laundry and extra people are charged separately (camp), or book a room in town (accommodation)
- Food and drinks: paid directly to the restaurant (food at the rally)
- Fuel, tyres, spare parts and service
- Your own support crew: €200 registration per assistance vehicle, or book a rally support partner
- Bike or quad rental, if you do not bring your own: partner agencies
- Travel to Knin and back, with or without a van or trailer
Bike and navigation gear
You do not need a factory rally bike. Riders race Dinaric Rally on road-legal enduro bikes, rally bikes and big adventure bikes (rally raid on an adventure bike). What you do need is a roadbook holder with a remote or a rugged tablet, good off-road tyres, and protective gear. Read rally navigation equipment before you buy anything.
How to keep the budget down
- Register with the Early Bird price: a bike saves €380 compared with Last Chance.
- Share a van with friends: the basic camp package is already in your entry fee.
- Learn to navigate before the rally: a missed waypoint costs time, and a recovery after the third one costs €200 plus €0.50 per km.
- Rent instead of shipping a bike from far away.
