EVENT PARTICIPATION STATEMENT

By signing this Statement, I (i.e. the undersigned person) agree to the following conditions of the participation at the Event and use of the Bivouac Pass.

DINARIC RALLY 2023 event (hereinafter: Event) is organized by SPORTSKI KLUB UNTAMED, with the support of its club members, volunteers, safety team, HGSS, GSSuBiH and other contractors (all of them hereinafter: Organizer).

I confirm that the Organizer is not responsible if, while participating in the Event or while driving on the Dinaric Rally route, I am injured or if my or someone else’s equipment /vehicle/property is damaged. I confirm that there are no health reasons for which my participation in the Event or driving along the Dinaric Rally route could be risky for me, the Organizer, or for third parties.

By signing this statement, I confirm that I have insurance policies prescribed by the Organizer that cover my participation in the Event and driving on the Dinaric Rally route. I am aware that the Dinaric Rally route passes through very demanding and inaccessible terrain and that the weather conditions are unpredictable, that on the route it is possible to meet animals, people, and other vehicles, and that on Dinaric Rally route, despite the efforts of the Organizer, fences, ramps, strings, logs, and other obstacles can be expected. I know deviating from the Dinaric Rally route is particularly risky and dangerous, given the proximity of minefields, dangerous terrain, wildlife, and other objective hazards. All these factors of uncertainty and adventure are part of the reason why I want to participate in this Event and drive the Dinaric Rally route. In the event of an accident and damage that occurs to me, vehicles, or third parties, while participating in the Dinaric Rally, I expressly exclude any liability of the Organizer.

I authorize the Organizer (especially the safety team, HGSS, and GSSuBiH) to give me first aid and transportation to appropriate medical care providers. Due to the inaccessible terrain and the large area along the Dinaric Rally route, I am aware that emergency services, the Organizer, first aid, and the safety team will have limited access to the Dinaric Rally route. Therefore, it is probable that medical and other assistance will be difficult, limited, and delayed in the event of an accident or required service.

I know that the Dinaric Rally route passes through Bosnia and Herzegovina and that I am obliged to cross the border at a regular border crossing. However, I confirm that the Organizer does not organize or guarantee the border crossing. In case of difficult crossing or inability to cross the border (from Croatia to Bosnia or from Bosnia to Croatia) for any reason (e.g., crowds, lack of valid documents, certificates, tests, defects on the vehicle), I exclude any responsibility of the Organizer.

I know that most of the Dinaric Rally route passes on roads where traffic takes place without special regulation and without stopping. I exclude any responsibility of the Organizer for the condition of roads and the actions of other road users. For example, suppose I cause damage to another person or property during the Event or while driving on the Dinaric Rally route. In that case, I accept full responsibility and guarantee that I will ensure that the Organizer does not suffer any related damage. I accept them and undertake to adhere to all the Organizer’s rules and instructions on safety, ecology, and all the rules on participation in the Event available on the website dinaricrally.com or which the Organizer has otherwise made available. I confirm that I have checked my equipment and vehicle and determined that it is correct, properly maintained, and suitable for the Event and driving on the Dinaric Rally route. The Organizer is entitled to refuse my participation in the Event at any time and without providing a reason.

Suppose I hand over a device or equipment (e.g., roadbook) for GPS navigation to the Organizer or any of the organization’s members. In that case, I exclude any responsibility of the Organizer and other mentioned persons for deletion, data corruption, or malfunction of data, device, or equipment.

Organizer or third parties authorized by the Organizer may record and use audio recordings, video recordings, and photographs of me riding on the Dinaric Rally route or participating in the Event, use my name, display, voice, character, performance and biographical material for any purpose (commercial, promotional or other), in social media and all media, forever. The Organizer or third parties authorized by the Organizer have the right to use, broadcast, display, exhibit, reproduce and/or make publicly available material recorded during or in connection with the Event (of me riding on the Dinaric Rally route or participating in the Event) in social media, all media, including, without limitation, radio, television, cinemas, events, media data, and the internet. The Organizer has the right to transfer to any third party all rights given by this statement. I am aware that I will not have the right, i.e., I waive the right, to approve the material on which I am recorded to be riding on the Dinaric Rally route or participating in the Event. I am aware that there is a possibility that I will not be mentioned as a participant in the Event. I also do not expect to profit, and I waive any right to benefit from my appearance on any material related to the Event.

Bivouac Pass permits access to the Dinaric Rally bivouac resources and facilities (hereinafter: Bivouac). That includes the use of toilets, showers, access to the internet, water, electricity, parking space (with prior notice and approval of Organizer), and setting of additional equipment, e.g. chairs, tools, and shade tent (with prior notice and approval of Organize). Access is also possible to the organization’s large tent and the outdoor lounge area.

Bivouac Pass is issued in the form of a plastic bracelet.

Many people and vehicles will stay and drive at the Bivouac during the Event. Despite the Organizer’s efforts, it is impossible to guarantee the safety of persons and their belongings. I confirm that I use resources and facilities and stay at the Bivouac at my own risk. I confirm that the Organizer is not the accommodation provider: it has neither promised me nor is obliged to provide me overnight accommodation in Bivouac. The Organizer is not responsible for my safety or the safety of minors who come with me. I completely release the Organizer from responsibility for the motor vehicle’s safety and the safety of things /belonging I am taking to and leaving at Bivouac during the Event. This means inter alia, motor vehicles, tents, personal items, electronics, tools, and other personal items.

I am aware that participating in the Dinaric Rally exposes me to a possible risk of infection with the COVID-19 virus. In the event of illness, regardless of the circumstances of the case, I exclude any responsibility of the Organizer. I confirm that recently, without protective equipment and the implementation of protective measures, I have not been in close contact with a person infected with COVID- 19. I do not live and have not stayed in an apartment or other area with a person under medical care, supervision/isolation, or any suspicion of COVID-19. I did not deviate from the recommendations in implementing preventive measures of wearing a protective mask and hand hygiene when staying in a public space. I confirm that within the last two weeks, I have not had any of the symptoms of the disease listed below, which persisted for more than a day after they occurred and for which the doctor did not determine the reason: cough, fever, shortness of breath, muscle aches, loss of sense of smell and taste, headache, fever, ‘”red eyes “- conjunctivitis.

If any information or circumstances stated in this statement change during the Dinaric Rally edition 2022, I will notify the Organizer without delay. I confirm that the Organizer is allowed to use my (personal) data for the organization of the Event as well as to prevent COVID –19 infections.
